Why not hire a full-time designer?
I mean, if that's your jam, great. Senior designers total comp will run your company $120k+ a year. And then you're committed to paying them whether they work or not. With PaperPixels, you'll pay half that—and without any of the HR headaches. Plus, you can cancel or pause at any time. FTE employees tend to get upset at that.
Is the design done by AI?
Despite the cute AI-generated robots, all the work done for clients is done by a real person, using real design software. (We will, when it makes sense, generate some images using AI.)
Who are the designers?
Hi - Andrew Hahn here. 20+ year design veteran. Husband, father of 6, wolf-dog owner, mountain biker — in more or less that order.
How do I pause my subscription?
Easy-peasy. Just go into your member dashboard and press pause. When you're ready to fire up the machine again, we'll pro-rate your subscription for the remaining time left in the month. (e.g. you pay for a month, pause it at 20 days. When you start back up, your payment will be delayed 10 days.)
How do I request designs?
We use a kanban board to manage work. Build up your backlist in the "to-do" list and move a job over to the "active" list when you're ready. Include all the necessary details and we'll get to work.
How fast will I receive my design?
Pretty quick. On average 2–3 business days. For larger projects (like websites) we'll deliver the work incrementally.
What if I don't like the design?
No problem! We'll keep revising until you're happy.
What applications do you design in?
For most work, the Adobe Creative Suite. For web design, Figma.
What don't you do?
While we do a lot, we don't do it all. Projects we don't cover include: video production, animations, 3D modeling, or packaging.
Can I get a refund if I don't like it?
Due to the time investment, no refunds will be issued. But you're welcome to cancel.
